Athelhampton, in Dorset, is one of the grandest 15th century manor-houses, with finely furnished rooms including The Great Hall, Great Chamber and wine cellar. The Gallery in the west wing exhibits works by the Russian artist Marevna who lived there in the 1940s/50s. You can also visit the world- famous topiary pyramids in the Grade I Listed garden. Our visit includes Dorset cream tea in the Coach House Restaurant.
There is a refreshment stop on the outward journey at Rownham Services.
