Berkeley Castle

Berkeley Castle in Gloucestershire was built in 1153 by the Berkeley family, who, 27 generations on, still live there today. Over the centuries it has changed from a fortress to a welcoming family home. We have a guided tour of the ancient castle, then time to visit the unique, historic gardens, the fabulous butterfly house and buy lunch in their restaurant.

There is a refreshment stop on the outward journey at Sutton Scotney Servoces.
