Lacock Village a picturesque National Trust Village with a 13th century abbey founded as a nunnery. In 1944 the Talbot family gave the abbey and village to the National Trust securing its future. The village with its 15th century inns and cottages create a traditional backdrop for filming, Jane Austen’s “Pride & Prejudice” and “Emma” are just some of many filmed here.
Refreshments can be purchased in the Stable Tea Rooms in the village.
On the outward journey there is a refreshment stop at Sutton Scotney Services.
