Wander through Weatherfield on a fully guided tour of the working set. Recall storylines, hear filming secrets and follow in the footsteps of your favourite characters down those Coronation Street cobbles. We also visit some beautiful and historic places in Lancashire.
Day 1 Making our way north, we have a stop for refreshments along the way, before arriving at our hotel late afternoon.
Day 2 Today we travel north to explore the ancient city of Lancaster, where you can visit the castle or museums, take a stroll to St Georges Quay or just enjoy the shops and cafés. In the afternoon we continue north to Carnforth and Leighton Hall, the ancestral home of the renowned Gillow furniture family. We enjoy a guided tour and afternoon tea.
Day 3 This morning we visit the Chocolate House in Blackburn for a chocolate making demonstration, along with refreshments and samples to enjoy. In the afternoon we visit Gawthorpe Hall, with fabulously opulent interiors and many pieces from the Shuttleworth Textile Collection. The hall was built in 1600 and restored by Sir Charles Barry in the 19th Century.
Day 4 We travel to Rawtenstall where we join the East Lancashire Railway and enjoy a ride along the Irwell Valley through pleasant countryside to Bury. There will be some free time to explore and get some refreshments. This afternoon we visit MediaCity for our Coronation Street tour! This 80minute experience will take in the exterior sets of Coronation Street, Rosamund Street and Victoria Street, and give you the inside story of this famous soap.
Day 5 Departing after breakfast, we travel southwards making suitable refreshment stops and arrive in the local area late afternoon
Our four-star hotel has pleasant lounge, bar and terrace and serves locally sourced cuisine. Leisure facilities include swimming pool, steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi. Bedrooms have TV, telephone, WiFi, hairdryer and hospitality tray. The hotel does not have a lift, but does have ground ﬂoor rooms.
