Day 1 After our local pick ups, we travel to London to the National Army Museum in Chelsea, where our Blue Badge Guide will begin the colourful story of the search for the tomb of the Boy King. We continue by coach to discover more about Howard Carter, the ‘Curse’, and how Tut Fever hit 1920’s London influencing everything from architecture to soap packaging! At 2.30pm we enter the Tutankhamun Exhibition, housing twice the number of objects than ever shown in London before. Back at our hotel we have Trad Jazz in the bar before dinner.

Day 2 Accompanied by our Blue Badge Guide, we head into the City to discover the story of the People’s Post with a visit to the Postal Museum and a ride on the Mail Rail – the sub-terranean railway that once whizzed parcels beneath the city streets. After free time for lunch in Westminster Central Hall, we visit the Supreme Court, with its beautiful Edwardian interiors. We return to Greenwich by boat, and transfer to our hotel.

Day 3 After breakfast, we visit the Beefeater Gin Distillery for a tour and tasting of the delicious wares. We finish our London visit at the nearby Imperial War Museum, which has a pleasant café where you can purchase some lunch. Mid-afternoon we make our way back to the south coast.
