Day 1 After enjoying our door to door service, we join our coach and drive north to the cathedral city of Ely where we stop for refreshments. We continue to our hotel in Old Hunstanton arriving late afternoon.

Day 2 We begin with a scenic drive along the North Norfolk coast, through the villages of Wells-next-the-Sea and Blakeney, to Sheringham. Here we have a journey on the North Norfolk Railway – The Poppy Line – to Holt, where there is a little free time for lunch. We then travel to Thursford, where we see the world’s largest collection of steam engines and organs. We return to our hotel with time to relax before dinner.

Day 3 An excursion to King’s Lynn, where fine old merchants’ houses stretch down to the banks of the Great Ouse, where cobbled lanes and the elegant Custom House overlook the harbour. As well as historic buildings, splendid waterfront and handsome parks, the town has many shops, pubs and pleasant cafés. We return to Hunstanton mid-afternoon.

Day 4 A free morning in Hunstanton. This afternoon we visit Oxburgh Hall*, a moated manor house with a Tudor gatehouse and priest hole. Explore over 500 years of history with hidden doors, rooftop views and Victorian Gothic interiors reflecting the medieval past. There is also a pleasant tearoom and gardens.

Day 5 Leaving after breakfast, we travel via Lavenham, arriving in the local area late afternoon.
