Day 1 Having been picked up by taxi from your door, you join your tour coach and we make our way northward to Carlisle and our hotel.

Day 2 Leaving our hotel, we soon cross into Scotland by way of Gretna Green, travelling north and having a stop in Stirling, home to the National Wallace Monument. We continue to our overnight hotel in Pitlochry.

Day 3 A wonderful drive today as we travel along the edge of the Cairngorm National Park, along Loch Laggan and Loch Lochy with a stop in Fort Augustus on the southern tip of Loch Ness over lunch. We continue towards Kyle of Lochalsh, to the iconic Eilean Donan Castle, where we have included entrance. Then over the Skye Bridge, the gateway to this majestic isle, to reach our hotel for a two-night stay.

Day 4 A full day excursion around Skye, the largest of the Inner Hebrides, and home to some of the most dramatic and awe-inspiring landscapes of Scotland. We travel via the stunning Cuillin Hills and visit the island’s main town of Portree, set around a pretty natural harbour bustling with fishing boats and pleasure craft.

Day 5 We take the morning crossing from Armadale to Mallaig on the mainland and travel south along the ‘Road to the Isles’, past Loch Shiel and Loch Sunart, to Lochaline for an afternoon crossing to Fishnish on the Isle of Mull. We visit Duart Castle, spectacularly positioned on a cliff top overlooking the Sound of Mull, before reaching our hotel for a twonight stay.

Day 6 A scenic exploration around Mull, known for its wildlife, is enhanced with a foot passenger crossing to the legendary Isle of Iona, burial place of 48 Scottish kings and the abbey originally founded by St. Columbia (entrance not included).

Day 7 We leave Mull by the morning crossing to Oban and begin our journey southward, travelling through the Trossachs National Park and along the western shore of Loch Lomond. Our overnight stay is in the Sunderland/Newcastle area.

Day 8 Today we complete our journey homeward, with suitable refreshment stops along the way.
