We are happy to be able to offer this Welsh tour with plenty of sole use rooms at the Beaufort Park Hotel. We have included a train ride and canal cruise, visits to the resorts of Betws-y-Coed and Llandudno, and beautiful scenic drives along the coast and through the countryside of North Wales.
Day 1 Leaving the local area this morning, we travel across country into Wales and up to our hotel near Mold. Tea and Bara Brith is served on arrival and we have a welcome drink before dinner for a chance to meet your fellow guests.
Day 2 We visit Llangollen and after some free time we have a two-hour cruise along the Llangollen Canal. We return to our hotel over the famous Horseshoe Pass.
Day 3 After a leisurely breakfast, we enjoy a scenic drive along the North Wales coast to Llandudno, North Wales’ premier resort, guarded by the bulk of the Great Orme. Take a stroll along the wide promenade, indulge in some retail therapy and enjoy an included light lunch.
Day 4 This morning we visit Betws-y-Coed, on the River Conwy in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park. After some free time, we travel to the famous Italianate village of Portmeirion. The setting for the TV show ‘The Prisoner’, Portmeirion stands on a rugged cliﬀtop overlooking Cardigan Bay.
Day 5 Departing after breakfast, we take a scenic route home, stopping at Evesham Country Park for refreshments. We arrive in the local area late afternoon
Situated near the market town of Mold in North Wales, our three-star hotel is the perfect base for our tour. The Scandinavian style reception and mezzanine lounge provide an oasis of peace in which to relax, and Archers Bar provides a nice alternative on the ground ﬂoor. Bedrooms have TV, telephone, WiFi, hairdryer and hospitality tray. There is no lift, but some ground ﬂoor rooms are available.
