This spring visit to Wales is the perfect opportunity to explore the wonderful gardens on offer. Marvel at the ancient gardens of Aberglasney and the conservation work taking place at the National Botanic Garden of Wales. We also visit Cardiff, Pembroke Castle and the pretty seaside resort of Tenby.
Day 1 After your taxi pick up, we travel across to Gloucester in time for lunch. We continue to our hotel in Carmarthen where we have a welcome drink before dinner for a chance to meet your fellow guests.
Day 2 A free morning to explore Carmarthen. This afternoon we visit the wonderful Aberglasney Gardens, in the beautiful landscape of the Tywi Valley, where the camellias, hellebores and daﬀodils should be in bloom.
Day 3 We visit Tenby this morning and then to Pembroke. Here we have a guided tour of the castle, once the magniﬁcent home of the Earls of Pembroke, and enjoy tea and scones in the Castle Café.
Day 4 Today the National Botanic Garden of Wales, which was created within a beautiful Regency park, with over 100,000 plants and the Great Glasshouse as its remarkable centrepiece. Conservation is an important element of the gardens and it is home to some of the most endangered species on the planet. The afternoon is free.
Day 5 We travel to Cardiﬀ for free time over the lunchtime period. We then cross the Severn Bridge and continue to the south coast and our taxis.
